Licensed Nurses
Our nurses provide in-home care and instructional guidance in caring for the patient. They work closely with the physician, patient and family in preparing a plan of care. Visits are scheduled according to the health care needs of the patient. Some of the services may include injections, intravenous therapy and wound care, pain management, and education on disease treatment and prevention.
Home Health Aides
The Home Health Aides are very important members of the Multicare Home Health Care
staff. They are trained to assist patients with a variety of tasks under the supervision and direction of the patient's nurse.
The Home Health Aide's duties may include:
- baths
- preparation of meals
- medication reminders
- changing of bed linens
- light housekeeping chores
- companionship
- small errands outside the home.
Rehabilitation Therapy
Physical Therapy
- The physical therapist cares for patients recuperating from strokes, joint replacement, bone fractures and other similar conditions. The therapist provides instructions for the use of equipment such as walkers and special types of canes and provides techniques necessary for everyday living within the home environment.
Occupational Therapy - The therapist cares for the patient with upper extremity limitations, illness, or injury that interferes with ability to perform activities of daily living or homemaking by providing equipment and training.
